We load up Osprey's Stratos 44L Backpack and head out to cross another peak off our list and maybe a quick overnighter. Osprey's stretch mesh back panel, harness, and hipbelt keep your back cool as you hike above the treeline, so you're not stuck with a sweat-soaked shirt at the end of the day. An integrated raincover and durable, recycled nylon protect your gear and keep the Stratos in shape for seasons to come, while the vertical zip gives you quick access to the main compartment when you need an extra layer. Plus, dual trekking pole carriers and a single ice ax loop with bungee tool tie-offs keep your mountaineering gear within reach.
