La Prairie debuts its first refillable vessels with the Pure Gold Collection. The brushed metal casing and cap of the Pure Gold Radiance Concentrate are designed to be kept indefinitely. Only the delicate glass vials containing the formulas, once empty, are meant to be removed, recycled and replaced. Science: The Pure Gold Collection has been developed for devitalized skin - skin that is fragile, thin, dry and dull. When skin is devitalized, it becomes less receptive to nutrients, leading to a slowing down of renewal processes. For skin to function more efficiently, it needs to be constantly exposed to active ingredients. To address this particularity of devitalized skin, La Prairie has developed a proprietary Pure Gold Diffusion, designed to provide sustained delivery of two key replenishing active ingredients over the course of the day to compensate for the loss of receptiveness of the skin. The Pure Gold Diffusion System leverages the unique properties of gold as a vehicle for powerful actives to deliver three peaks of action to the skin.
