"The fact that this jacket is warm when I'm cold and air permeable when I'm active still blows my mind. I can do anything in this layer." —Gearhead® Expert SammyUltralight in weight and feel, our Backcountry MTN Air Hooded Jacket was built for when we test our limits on the mountain. The Pertex Quantum Air material places breathability and wind resistance in perfect balance to cut the force of summit gales and shield us from spitting skies without stifling our microclimate underneath. When the sun breaks through the clouds, this featherweight layer stashes away inside its own chest pocket, revealing a hidden strap that can hook onto our hand or be clipped to our pack.
